DSO National Laboratories, Singapore’s largest defense research and development (R&D) organization, is now partnering with Santos Human, Inc., Coralville, IA.

DSO National Laboratories develops technological solutions to sharpen the cutting edge of Singapore's national security. Established in 1972, DSO has evolved from a three-member team to more than 1,400 research scientists and engineers working across the domains of land, sea, air, space and cyberspace.

DSO will be using Santos® Pro and Santos® ETOWL in its business. Santos® Pro is an extensive digital human modeling (DHM) environment, designed to help users simulate and predict all aspects of human performance. Enhanced Technologies for Optimization of Warfighter Load (ETOWL®) supports Warfighter task-performance analysis. The software uses predictive technology to provide substantial biomedical feedback including angle position, velocity, acceleration, and torque for each joint; as well as reaction forces.

Founded in 2008, SantosHuman Inc. (SHI) provides virtual human performance simulation solutions to some of the most recognizable global companies in the world.  Its technology is based on basic and applied research conducted at the University of Iowa Center for Computer-Aided Design's Virtual Soldier Research program. The company serves clients in industries spanning heavy construction, aerospace, automotive, lawn and garden, engineering, agriculture, consumer goods, and defense.
